How Tall Was Julia Child?

Julia Child, American TV chef and author known for her French cooking, was 6 foot 3 inches (1.90 m) tall. Child was tall growing up and while attending the Katherine Branson School for Girls in San Francisco, CA, she was considered the tallest student in her class. Her height did become an issue at one point in her adult life as Child was rejected for active duty during World War II by the Woman's Army Corps and Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service.
